Studio Rental

The Studio

Studio 8 is located in Chai Wan, a district known in Hong Kong for it's industrial buildings and warehouse space. Photographers have long ago made there home in this area for the lower rental fee and large high ceiling space. Directly connected the MTR (local subway line) on Hong Kong island, Studio 8 is a short 1-minute walk from the Chai Wan station, Exit C. The front office and lobby area occupies approximately 700 square feet; meanwhile 1,000 square feet is dedicated to the studio. The ceiling height is 3.1meters. The studio is well equiped with a stereo system, projector and 2 Machitosh computers. For a list of lighting equipment, see below. The studio does not rent out camera equipment at this time. Commercial Rates

$400/hour (minimum 3 hour hire time). If hiring 8 or more hours, we offer a 10% discount off the total fee.

Photography Associations & Groups

$600/hour (minimum 3 hours hire time). Limited to no more than 10 persons in the studio.

Studio Hours

Studio 8 can accommodate bookings during any time of the day, including overnight bookings. For overnight bookings, you must hire 8 or more hours. Start time of booking must be on or before 12midnight. Please inform us of your timing and schedule as early as possible, to allow us time to allocate staff. If booking on a major public holiday, a surcharge of 20% will apply.

3 Strobe Lights in varying powers, 3-1000W Tungsten Lights, 1.8 meter Umbrella Reflector, Various Softboxes, Snoot, Barn-door, Gels, Backdrops colors: Black, Grey, & White.
